Making uncommon fonts for common use A graduate of Detroit Lakes Vocational Technical school, Dave Correll has been making signs since 1983. As he readily admits, Mike Steven's methods heavily influence his work today. While he prefers to do storefronts, monuments and dimensional signage, his Faribault, MN based sign shop handles work such as vehicles, banners, and logo design as well. When asked how he decides what fonts to produce he remarks "Developing a font takes a lot of time and work and I try to
