What can I do with Letterhead Fonts?
This is an overview of permissible usage for Letterhead Fonts. For more details, please read the complete Letterhead Fonts License Agreement.
You may...
• Install the fonts on up to 3 computers in a central location.
• Use the fonts for most commercial purposes (see restrictions below). For example, you are welcome to use the fonts to create a t-shirt for resale. Letterhead Fonts does not charge per usage rates, so go ahead and make 5 or 5000 t-shirts and reap all the rewards.
• Use the fonts on either a Mac or PC system-- or both. As long as you do not exceed the 3 computer limit.
• Use the font to create a PDF file, providing the fonts are converted to vector outlines first.
• Alter the vector outlines of the letters as desired when used within a project.
You may not...
• Install the fonts on more than 3 computers. If you need to install the fonts on more than 3 computers, please contact us to purchase additional licenses at discounted rates.
• Trade or sell your fonts. Your license to use Letterhead Fonts is non-transferable. Only you have the legal right to use the fonts.
• Send Letterhead Fonts to a third party such as a client, web designer, printer, or friend. Only the original purchaser has the legal right to use the fonts. If you need to send a design to a third party, please convert the fonts to vector outlines first. This eliminates the need to send the actual fonts. This consideration encourages the Letterhead Fonts artists to continue making new fonts for you. Your own name and account information are encrypted into each font file. Should the fonts become distributed, you are liable for any damages resulting from piracy.
• Alter the .otf font files themselves by converting to another format, renaming, changing the vector outlines or adding or removing glyphs. Changing the vector outlines is permissible providing it is done within a graphics program and as a part of the design. But not if the intended purpose is to create a new font.
• Use the fonts to create stencils or files in which the purpose is to provide a third-party with the means to use the letters or words to create their own designs.
